NWB ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: 2013 OSCAR NOMS REVEALED

The 2013 Oscars Nominations were announced earlier today.

It’s the time of the year again ladies and gentlemen! The 2013 Oscar nominations have been revealed. With such great films out this year, there has been such a buzz around what film will manage to bag the most nominations at the 85th Annual Academy Awards.

Steven Speilberg’s epic film ,Lincoln, based on the life of the 16th president of the United States took the lead with twelve Oscar nominations. Life of Pi was a close second with eleven noms, followed by Sliver Linings Playback with eight. Whilst Les Miserables, and Argo received seven Oscar noms each.

Disappointingly the Quentin Tarantino dark comedy, Djanjo Unchained, only received five nominations, tieing with Zero Dark Thirty and Amour.

The Oscar nominations were announced by Seth MacFarlane who was assisted by actress of the moment, Emma Stone. The 85th Annual Academy awards will take place at the Dolby Theater in LA on the 24th of February.
